PIHRA FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIPS 2009/2010

 Your PIHRA Foundation is here to let you know that Sunday, November 15th is the deadline to apply for any one of three (3) scholarships provided by the Foundation. Scholarships range from $500 to $3,000! Often times more than one scholarship is awarded per catagory. Certainly you or someone you know must be interested in some FREE MONEY!!!

The PIHRA Foundation would now like to target those who are working toward their educational goals and certifications by spreading the word about Scholarships.  Please contact all of your members, Board Members, your Student Chapter Liaisons and your Student Members and let them know that educational assistance through scholarships is available from the PIHRA Foundation.

1. The PIHRA Foundation HR Student Scholarship provides grants of up to $2,500 (upper division undergraduate study) and $3,000 (graduate study) to selected individuals meeting the eligibility requirements and pursuing studies at an accredited institution with a major in Human Resources Management or a closely related field.

2. The PIHRA Foundation Children and/or Grandchildren Student Scholarship provides a grant of $1,500 to a PIHRA member’s child/grandchild, who meets the eligibility requirements.  The student must be attending school full-time at a university/college in an upper division program in any academic field.   

3. The PIHRA Foundation HRCI Certification Scholarship provides reimbursement grants of up to $500 to selected PIHRA or PIHRA Student Chapter members who meet the eligibility requirements for an approved course of instruction leading to their successful certification as a PHR or SPHR.

Please direct anyone who is eligible and interested in learning more about the scholarships to the PIHRA Foundation webpage at www.pihrafoundation.net.  Once there, they should click on "Scholarship Application" on the menu bar at the top.  This will take them to an informational page regarding scholarships and a downloadable application form.
